I’m the vicar at Trinity Lutheran Church in Bradenton, FL. In 2022 I graduated from Christian Theological Seminary in Indianapolis, IN, and I’m preparing for ordination in the Lutheran Church (ELCA). My interests include theology, revelation, biblical history, and social and environmental justice.
I previously worked as a psychology professor at Ball State University in Muncie, IN. I taught courses in cognition, psychology and law, memory, statistics, and research methods, and a few years ago I created a seminar called “Psychology and the U.S. Civil War” for graduate and undergraduate students. My research at BSU investigated psychological processes within the legal system, and I published articles on the weapon focus effect in eyewitness memory, deception, retracted confessions, inadmissible evidence, and sexual misconduct.
And: I like to study and write about the U.S. Civil War.
